Guided tour of Nina and Edvard Grieg’s villa

The villa was not just a home but also a place of artistic creation, where Edvard and Nina lived and worked together. Our guides will share fascinating stories about both the artistic and private lives of the famous couple.

You will have the chance to experience the unique atmosphere of the authentic surroundings where some of Norway's most famous musical treasures were created.

Practical Information:

Duration: 15 minutes

Schedule: Every hour on the hour, or every half hour during busy periods (within opening hours).
Note: The last tour starts at 5:30 PM on weekdays and 3:30 PM on weekends.

Language: Norwegian or English

Price: Tours are included in your admission ticket. To join, reserve a spot at the reception.

Capacity: Maximum 20 people per tour.

What to do while waiting for your tour:

In the main building, you can visit the exhibition, watch a 25-minute film, or enjoy a cup of coffee with a freshly baked cinnamon roll. You can also explore Troldhaugen’s beautiful outdoor areas with an audio guide, a walk that takes about 30 minutes.

Concert: Combining the tour with a concert in Troldsalen is a wonderful experience. Remember to check the updated concert schedule before your visit.

Note: Unfortunately, it is not possible to visit the villa on your own.
