About the exhibition:

Ambrosia Tønnesen was one of Norway’s first professional sculptors, with a prolific output in the late 1800s. She exhibited in Paris and received significant commissions back home, including the J.C. Dahl monument—the bronze sculpture featured on the facade of Permanenten. This exhibition showcases a broad selection of Tønnesen’s works in plaster, bronze, and marble.
