There is boat transport to the island and we arrange a trail quiz along the way.
Buy ticketThe hike has a tradition of being the year's most visited event on Ole Bull's island in the Lysefjorden.
It is around four kilometers long and is suitable for all ages. The hike starts and ends at Gamletunet, close to where the boat docks.
We walk on marked walking routes and paths, and along the way the participants meet competition posts that are suitable for all ages. In addition, great prizes are drawn for starting numbers.
Please note: Ole Bull's villa is still closed due to rehabilitation.
Practical information
Start whenever you want between 09.00 and 15.00.
The shuttle boat Ole Bull will run continuously between Buena kai and Lysøen during this period.
First departure from Buena kai at 09.00, last return from Lysøen at 4:30 p.m.

Return boat ticket price: Adults pay NOK 80, while children under 18 years have free entry.
Parking at the quayside: Please follow the instructions of the security staff at Buena kai.
About the family hike
The starting fee is NOK 100 per person, and NOK 250 for families (four people). Everyone who walks the walk gets a participant badge.
Gift prizes are drawn on starting numbers. There will be a quiz along the way.
