Kode wants to provide good and creative experiences for children and youth. Art and culture provide new perspectives through learning, exploring and personal reflection.
Every year, 10,000 pupils visit us, and we have special programmes for kindergarten, primary school and upper secondary school levels.
Use the museum as a resource in your work with the children’s creative development.
A visit to the museum is an exciting experience for the children and for many the first kindergarten excursion they take part in. At Kode, you will meet welcoming guides who adapt the art experience to the children’s age and interests.
Bring your class to new exhibitions or use the permanent museum collections in new and interesting ways.
The works of art can for instance serve as a starting point for discussions about subjects that are challenging to talk about at school and in people’s everyday lives.
We tailor the content of the tours to the different age levels and links it to the school’s curriculum.
Looking for something to do during Mentor Week or a break from your exam studies? Students have free admission to the museum when you visit as a group.
Students at the Faculty of Fine Art, Music and Design always have free admission to the museums, as have students of Art History at the University of Bergen and Bergen School of Architecture.
You choose whether you want a guided tour or to view the exhibition on your own.
