We offer guided family tours, family workshops, audio guides for children and other activities at the art museums and composers’ homes.

Our children and family activities

Audio Guide

We offer audio guides for children outdoors at Troldhaugen.

These are suitable for children aged 4 to 10, easy to use and make the visit a fun experience for the youngest as well.

The audio guides are free and can be collected at the reception.

Family workshops

Each Saturday and Sunday between 11:00 and 15:00 we hold drop-in workshops at Permanenten.

Children and adults are welcome to join in on creative activities together. We have a rich supply of materials, and there is a new theme for the workshop every month. The workshop is run by skilled hosts who are there to inspire, assist and make sure everyone has a pleasant experience.

Activity booklets

We have entertaining activity booklets for children and families at many of our exhibitions with little tasks to encourage new approaches and inspiration during your visit.

At the composer homes, we organize outdoors activities for the whole family under the concept “Seek, find, learn and win!”

You get your activity sheet at the receptions.

Vacation acitivities

Taking a trip to Kode during the holidays is always fun.

Treasure hunts, story time, pony riding, and creative workshop. These are just some of the fun activities for the entire family.

Summer school

Every year, we offer a creative summer course for children between 7 and 14.

This include visits to exhibitions, creative workshops and activities, visits to the composers’ homes and musical experiences.

There will be more information about this spring 2024.
